I always knew that I wanted to help others, so when it was time to attend college I naturally chose to study Psychology, which led me to a master's degree in order to practice as a licensed professional. During my studies, I was involved in a car accident that had me undergo back surgery. This left me with chronic pain at a young age. In search for relief, I found my love for yoga, which introduced me to meditation and new forms of thought that I had never considered before. I traveled to India to bring meditation, yoga, and mental health therapy together into my own spirituality as well as to my personal approach to mental health treatment, and I have been absolutely delighted at how effective my approach has been with my clients.
PS I am no longer in any chronic pain :)
I teach others how to sit in stillness with their struggles until their struggles are nothing but stand alone thoughts and feelings in their environment. Learning to separate the core self from the chaos of the mind, it's fears, it's judgments, and it's ego is critical to finding contentment and achieving greatness in this life. Identifying core values and using them as a moral compass to guide through life's storms and pitfalls keeps one on a fruitful path.
