Pooja Amy Shah, MD, is a dual Board Certified Integrative and Family Medicine physician, who is also licensed in medical acupuncture and a teacher of Eastern mind-body practices. She has a private integrative medicine practice in lower Manhattan focused on the holistic healing of chronic illnesses and pain using a discerning blend of Eastern medical traditions (medical acupuncture, mind-body approaches, and plant/herb/botanical medicine) in conjunction with standard Western allopathic care.
Dr. Shah is also an Assistant Professor of Medicine at Columbia University / New York-Presbyterian Hospital where she serves as Director of Integrative Medicine. She recently completed the two year certificate program in Contemplative Psychotherapy at the Nalanda Institute in NYC. This fall 2018, she will be co-teaching a meditation teacher training course with Nalanda in partnership with The Path and Pure Yoga.

East + West Healing: Dr. Shah will help you discover self-sustainable healing, so that you get better, feel radiant, and stay healthy. Each treatment plan is as unique as you are. Dr. Shah's mission is to effectively treat medical problems, pain, the body and the mind. She is not in the business of selling products, ideologies, extensive lab testing, or trendy diets.
