- Hatha yoga classes.
- Writing & content creation.
I went to India for a yoga teacher training course simply to deepen my practice. When I got home, however, I felt impelled to share what I had learnt - at the time it seemed like a rational desire to solidify my knowledge, to process the intense experience in real time.
I borrowed a small space and gathered friends once a week to teach informal classes. People came, again and again, many of them complete beginners, and I began to realize that I was getting at least as much out of it as they were, if not more.
Sharing the multidimensional benefits of yoga has become a form of self-expression, and today I continue to offer classes, for free, to friends and members of the local community.
My day job is writing: I freelance for a range of agencies, brands and publications, telling stories about technology, sustainability, travel and lifestyle. Whatever I'm doing, I try to embody the mindful spirit of yoga.
I teach Hatha yoga, with enough energy to get into a nice flow, but slow enough that there's a meditation to the movement and asana. I encourage inclusivity and diversity, by inviting beginners, stressing that yoga is for every body, and offering my classes completely for free.
