I have been a stay at home mom for the past 20 years and dove into mom-hood with a vengeance. It was the hardest job I have ever done, raising my 2 kids, but the most rewarding to watch them grow into kind, worldly, intelligent and independent adults of their own. My son Jake is now a Freshman in college at Madison Wisconsin and my daughter Ella, is a Junior at Windward School.
My greatest gifts and joy are my family. I love to exercise, travel, cook, and eat foods from around the world with my family. I loved being a stay at home mom, but I felt the pull the past several years to find my "trail", my purpose. I feel the "empty nest" or what I like to call "A New Season"syndrome upon me, and I wanted to give back and do something for me. It was 2 years ago today that I made the best decision for myself to become a health coach. I went back to school to pursue a Holistic MBA Degree and it was here that I found my trail, working with women to help them realize all their goodness in an unconventional setting out in nature, and it is in this place where I feel most alive. I often tell people "Go where you feel alive" because that is where the magic happens.
I found my truth after I lost my beloved mom to cancer over 21 years ago, it was after the tragic loss of her it took all my strength to forge ahead. In that time of darkness, despair and grief, I started on my path of self discovery. Although I felt dead and stuck, I started to hike to get myself out of bed and out of the house.
It was out in the wide open space, breathing fresh air and surrounded by beauty and nature, I started to heal and it was at the top of every mountain I climbed, I started to feel alive again.
I feel very fortunate to live in Southern California, just blocks from the ocean and steps from the best hiking trails in North America, and through the countless trails I took through the years, it was in this place, through the help and support of my tribe, my dear friends and family that I discovered "my FINDING YOUR TRAIL" a 6-week hiking program to help others feel alive again, to re-invent themselves, to get unstuck, and to find their own trail through personal development, self-discovery and abandoning those self-limiting thoughts of "I can't" into "I can"!
What I love most about hiking and being outdoors in nature is, it forces you to be in the moment, to be raw and real and to get away from the noise in our lives and pushes me outside my comfort zone. We have lost the art of togetherness in this technological world we now live in, and it gives me that connection, support and and togetherness I crave with others, It also gives me a sense of accomplishment and makes me feel that I am stronger than I think. Hiking is a very internal thing, it is not competitive, hiking is about the goal and it is my form of nourishment, it is my moving meditation.
I strongly believe that if we BELIEVE IT and really SEE IT and trust ourselves, we can ACHIEVE IT. I chose to lean into my fears and envisioned this program and my dream has become a reality.
I now have 3 groups of women, I feel the most fulfilled I have felt in a long time. You see the journey is the destination, and what I have learned is sometimes the biggest tragedy in our life turns out to become the reason we head down certain paths. I turned my grief into something that fuels me with power and control by helping others on this journey.
My feelings are it is up to each and every one of us to make the decision to have a happy and joyous life, the point of empowerment is in the present moment, you are never stuck. This is when change take place in our minds. YOU are the power in your world. If something is not working, then you MUST use your mind to change the situation.
We sometimes have to go through the pain to find our purpose and sometimes the things we most want are in the places we most fear to go.

"Go Where You Feel Alive" is my mantra because that is where the magic truly happens.
Sometimes the biggest tragedy in our lives turns out to become the reason we head down certain paths. I believe we MUST listen to our own intuition, our gut feelings, they always give us a nudge and it is up to each of us to listen to what we were given.
My feelings are it is up to each and everyone of us to make the decision to have a happy and joyous life, I teach to empower to live int the present moment, that we are never stuck, that this is when change take place in our minds, that we are the power in our world, if something is not working and we must use our mind to change the situation.
We sometimes have to go through the pain to find our purpose, but we MUST listen and TRUST ourselves and follow our own intuition moment by moment. All the reasons we tell ourselves "we can't" are false, if we don't listen we will continue to feel stuck. We have to learn to overcome out limiting beliefs and clear them out so we can have deeper access to our purpose and destiny.
