I have always been fascinated with human behavior – the underpinnings of what we think, say, and do- and believe that the questions we ask are what direct our lives. My favorite undergraduate professor once asserted that the majority of people study psychology (psychoanalysis) in an unconscious effort to heal themselves. At least in my case, he was right. My life transformed when I learned to take responsibility for everything in it. I began to appreciate that our capacity for change is determined by the degree to which we can honestly look within, take accountability, forgive both ourselves and others, and commit to approaching every situation with an open mind. The most dangerous and terrifying thing is an unexamined life and to echo Socrates, it’s not one I’ve ever been interested in. While it is important to look back in order to move forward, I’ve since discovered that shifting the inquiry to the here-and-now, present moment and vision ahead has the power to rewrite our narrative and redirect our course. Our past experience does not define our lives; our choices, attitude, and actions do. Whether it’s coming out of a relationship, beginning a new career, or just ready to embark on a new path in life, transitions invariably mean change and change can be hard. Together, I help my clients navigate through what can be a challenging, exciting, and sometimes daunting period to connect with themselves to create a life that is in alignment with their vision and goals. I believe in the immense resilience of the human spirit; I have witnessed it firsthand. I believe that our limitless capacity for growth is determined by how we choose how we show up each day. I believe we all have unique gifts, skills, and talents to share and there is little reward in playing it small. I believe in you.

If we want to change our reality, we must first shift perspective such that everything we perceive, think, say, and do is in alignment with our vision and goals. It all begins connection, namely, the connection with oneself. I believe that we do not see the world as it is, but as we are. No matter what it is we seek: fulfillment, happiness, connection, success- the journey begins within. Through connecting with ourselves, we enhance our ability to connect with others. By knowing what brings us joy, we can make choices that support our happiness. By defining what we want we want, we can exercise greater discernment when presented with opportunities. That which triggers us teaches us The sources of our most intense emotions are often our greatest opportunities for growth. Looking past the emotion to ask ‘why’ allows us to reclaim our power, explore our fears, and then release them to create space for new ways of being. Change is always possible Our bodies expand, swell, we move, pick up weight and then shed it. Our hearts get broken, we love again. Our businesses fail, new ideas emerge. The degree to which we change depends on our willingness to adapt, persist, and commit.
