I believe that physical and emotional pain are your brilliant body's way of inviting you on a life-changing journey of self-discovery and growth. Listen carefully and she'll show you how to heal. I'll be here to support, guide, and encourage you along the way, whether we meet once or often over the course of our lifetimes.
As an integrative psychotherapist and trauma specialist, I challenge clients to move beyond their analytical minds and empower them to awaken to their native intelligence. Blending modern psychology with the timeless wisdom of ancient healing arts, we'll clear the "issues in your tissues" so you can be free to lead the vital, exuberant life you were put here to live.
I've synthesized my training in various mind-body-spirit modalities into The AMBIKA Method, my signature embodied psycho-spiritual approach to wellness. I hold licenses in New York and Hawaii in clinical social work (LCSW), and massage therapy (LMT). I am a certified yoga therapist (C-IAYT) through the International Association of Yoga Therapists and a registered dance/movement therapist (R-DMT) through the American Dance Therapy Association. I am also a trained practitioner of EMDR, Gestalt therapy, Authentic Movement, Reiki, Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT), CranioSacral therapy (CST), and SomatoEmotional Release (SER). I am versed in various mindfulness techniques including Transcendental Meditation (TM), Vipassana, Loving-Kindness Meditation, Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR), and Kundalini "medical" meditations. I also completed extensive study in herbal medicine and nutritional therapies for physical and emotional health.
I envision a world where every person on this planet knows that their body is intelligent and their mind is strong.

I'm confident that a shift in mindset, when coupled with the right tools, will enable you to transmute your life's traumas into the creative energy necessary to design the exuberant life you were born to live. I share this belief from my experience of having gone through my own initiation into the depths of what it takes to heal from the inside out, and from learning how my pain became my pathway to living a fully embodied life.
Committing to self-development is a lifelong process and progress is rarely linear. I empower my clients to set the pace and intensity of our work together. I am I'm available for regular weekly sessions, periodic deep dives, personal retreats, mini intensives, and also offer supervision for therapists and healers. Individual sessions are usually 75-minutes to allow time for hands-on, experiential processing. Early morning and weekend hours available.
