I have been practicing yoga for the equivalent of half of my life. Since that time I have been through many different life phases and yoga has been my grounding influence throughout. Yoga has been my outlet and safe place though the good times and bad. Yoga helps to remind me to be present and connected to the world around me. It encourages me to stop and listen to my body and my breath.
Yoga has given me the strength to embrace what life throws at me. I have been supported by yoga to get through the hardest times in my life such as the death of loved ones, the breakdown of relationships, and family challenges. I am continuously struck with the power of yoga to slow me down and reflect on whatever issue I am dealing with. This reflection and meditative process is so important if we are to take lessons from the challenges in life.
I am driven to sharing yoga with others and to truly have an impact on their lives. I aim to support others to access this lifelong gift for themselves and to continue to deepen their connection to their own practice.
International and Community Development
I am an international and community development practitioner with experience in NGO, government, university and managing contractor firm activities. I have worked with partners in Australia, Asia, Africa, the Pacific, the USA and the Middle East. My professional focus relates to a broad range of global development issues such as aid effectiveness, ethical and sustainable development, corporate social responsibility, and issues related to social inclusion and gender across sectors and contexts.
My focus is on bringing people to the present moment and connecting them to their inner self. I love to teach a slow, grounding practice to increase strength, stability and calm, and enable people to access a meditative state more easily. I also love to teach energizing and vitalizing sequences that open people's hearts and minds.

Years In Practice
Currently teaching regular classes through Lovesweats Yoga - #sweatforthegoodstuff - at SUNSTUDIOS in Alexandria, Sydney. Sweat for the Good Stuff (SFGS) is a community initiative that enables you to give back to yourself while also giving back to the world. We collaborate with local businesses around Australia to bring an assortment of accessible and affordable yoga classes held at dreamy locations. We then use some of the proceeds from the sessions to support programs and services that draw people out of social isolation. To date, this has included mental health surf therapy, support services for the homeless, yoga programs for vulnerable communities, research support for suicide prevention; and school programs that smash the stigma around mental illness.
